The Sophomore Experience Journey is an excellent and easy way to prepare for your junior year. Students on the journey will engage in academic degree planning, career exploration and resume writing, and financial literacy learning!
The Sophomore Experience Journey involves the following:
Create a personalized degree plan for on-time graduation with an Academic Advisor.
Resume Review with a Career Counselor in Career Planning & Development.
Attend Sophomore Jump events and workshops. See our event & workshop calendar in Panther Connect.
Complete one financial literacy track in Banzai! (See Banzai! section below for more information)
Engage in career exploration by completing job simulations through Forage (available in your Navigate account)
Students can follow the Sophomore Experience Journey and track their progress in Navigate! Click on the Journeys tab in Navigate to view your assigned journey. Contact sophomorejump@oldwestbury.edu if you do not see the journey assigned to you and need assistance or have questions about the journey.
BONUS: Students can earn extra raffle entries for each journey item they complete at the end-of semester Sophomore Jump Registration Raffle event. More entries = more chances to win!
