Health Requirements for Students

Immunization Record

New York State Public Health Law (Article 21, Title VI, Section 2165) requires all enrolled college students born after January 1, 1957 to show proof of immunity against measles, mumps and rubella. In addition, proof of meningococcal vaccine or a signed declination/waiver must be submitted.

New York State Public Health Law (NYS PHL) § 2167 requires institutions, including colleges and universities, to distribute information about meningococcal disease and vaccine to all students meeting enrollment criteria, whether they live on or off campus. Insurance

Students seeking private medical and dental insurance are encouraged to visit the New York State of Health Insurance Marketplace. International students should contact the College’s International Student Advisor, located in the Office of Enrollment Services enroll [at] oldwestbury.edu (Office of Enrollment Services), for information about mandatory health insurance coverage.
