The New York State Disaster Emergency in response to the outbreak of monkeypox that had been first declared in July 2022 expired on October 27, 2022. While the emergency situation has eased, all should be aware that monkeypox is still present in the local community.
Please call the Student Health Center at 516-876-3250 or your primary care provider if you have concerns about monkeypox or if you experience symptoms associated with this virus.
The monkeypox vaccine is available currently through the Nassau County Health Department.
