Panther Pantry

The mission of the Panther Food Pantry is to improve the quality of life among students, faculty and staff on the campus of SUNY Old Westbury by providing access to food and other necessities for those in need.

Satellite Location: The Panther Food Pantry is offering “To Go” bags - with basic food items for students, staff or faculty in the Library.  The bags are on the shelves next to the circulation desk when entering.

(During the Fall and Spring Semesters)

Tuesday 12:00pm -4:00pm
Wednesday 12:00pm -4:00pm
Thursday evenings 5:00pm - 7:30pm

Who does the Panther Pantry serve?

Anyone in the Campus Community - students, staff and faculty.

Do I have to give my name?

No, we do not ask for a name. You are asked to fill out an intake form so we can better serve the food pantry guests.

Do I need to bring anything?

A bag if you can! Otherwise, one will be provided.

How does it work?

After filling out the intake form, the guests are provided with a bag to shop for food.   At "checkout" we record the items for our own inventory. 

Can I make a cash donation?

Yes.  Cash donations should be made to the Old Westbury College Foundation.  Please designate that your donation should be used for the Panther Pantry.

can i do a food drive for the pantry?

Food drives and donations are welcome! Please let us know what you are planning.
