B.A. and B.S. degrees lead to initial certification.
The Old Westbury School of Education offers degrees that enable candidates to become teachers of adolescence education, childhood education, and exceptional education. These programs are designed to serve the demands of those who hope to enter the teaching field.
To ensure students across the degree programs have a strong foundation, all students studying at Old Westbury take classes related to human growth and development, literacy and special needs instruction. The programs differ in focus after that.
Contacts for each program can be found on the individual degree pages.
