The Office of the Associate Provost is responsible for assisting the provost in overseeing academic affairs with academic planning, policy development, and the implementation of strategies to enhance the quality of education and research. The office is directly responsible for overseeing The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs for Pre-Award, The Office of Grants Management for Post Award, Early College High School Programs, and Center for Teaching & Learning.
- The Office of Institutional Effectiveness - The primary mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to serve as a resource in planning, policy formation and decision making.
- Office of Research & Sponsored Programs for Pre-Award - Provides support to Pre-Award applications by finding the best funding opportunities and providing support to investigators to develop compelling and rigorous proposals
- Office of Grants Management – Post Award - Provides financial support and oversight of all post-award activities related to the Research Foundation for SUNY OW from set up to closeout.
- Early College High School Programs – Enabling students to accelerate their high school studies while earning college credit is recognized nationally as a means of increasing high school graduation as well as college completion rates among disadvantaged students.
- Center for Teaching & Learning - The Teaching and Learning Resources Committee maintains a commitment to connecting Old Westbury faculty and staff with resources that facilitate teaching excellence.
- OW STEAM Program- OW STEAM is a comprehensive and innovative program for OW students that are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
