The Office of Grants Management at SUNY Old Westbury provides financial support and oversight of all post-award activities related to the Research Foundation for SUNY OW from set up to closeout, and is part of the Office of the VP for Research under the Academic Affairs.
The Office of Grants Management (GMO) is responsible for managing grant funds post-award, ensuring compliance and fiscal stewardship once an award has been made. The Grants Management team collaborates with grant recipients to support the effective and efficient administration of funds through the SUNY RF accounts, adhering to the guidelines and regulations set by the sponsor, federal and state agencies. GMO oversees and processes expenditures in accordance with the approved grant budget, and is also responsible for preparing and maintaining all related grant records, including payroll, personnel, and patent documentation.

Award Setup
- Access an award.
- Request an at-risk award.
- Find technical report deadlines.
- Manage web content.
Project Management
Manage authorized signatures. Manage payroll expenses, purchases, stipends, human subject payments, cost sharing and other expenses. Plan and fund travel. Hire and pay independent contractors. Request a cost transfer. Determine cost allowability.
Project Completion & Award Closure
Complete final reports, and close an award.
