Adolescence Education provides instruction and preparation for those seeking to become teachers in grades 7-12.
The faculty of the Adolescence Education Department is deeply committed to educational leadership and works in partnership with school districts across Long Island. Through field experiences and student teaching, our students are expected to become involved in classroom settings and in the activities of the department.
All programs of our department are engaged in professional development. Periodic reviews of student progress including portfolio review are part of that professional preparation as are long-term personal/professional relationships.
