First-Year Orientation

Orientation Leader and group are interacting on the Campus Center Steps

Orientation helped me meet new people and understand what college life will be like.

Attendance at Part 1 and Part 2 of New Student Orientation is required of all incoming first-time-to-college students.

The Summer 2022 Orientation Program

Part 1: In-Person, two-day, overnight orientation program

Emails about orientation will be sent out in early April, via the email you listed on your admissions application. To register for orientation, you must first pay your tuition deposit.  In an effort to establish meaningful connections with faculty and peers, your orientation date is selected based upon your academic course of study. Please read the descriptions below so you may save the date!

Part 2: Academic Advisement (approximately 30-45 mins.)

In your orientation registration, you will fill out a series of questions that will assist our First Year Experience Office in building your preliminary fall schedule. After you attend your orientation session,  you will receive instructions on how to setup an advising session to confirm your schedule! This information will be sent by the Office of First Year Experience and will be sent to your campus email.  Advising appointments will be offered both virtually and in person!

*Please note that a $50 orientation fee will be applied to your account.
