Dr. Poon completed her PhD at Cornell University and her Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Rockefeller University. She is currently working on three research areas: 1. How hyperphagia of dietary fats during pregnancy alters brain development, resulting in generational risk of developing obesity; 2. The interaction between metabolism and the development of Alzheimer’s disease; and 3. Using C. elegans as a model to study intraneuronal changes on neuronal networks and behavior.
