The Microcredential in Fundamentals of Television Production
is designed for students to develop the foundational skills of field-video and studio television production for news reporting. These skills include pre-production, field and studio camera operation, sound recording, using switchers and prompters, graphics and advanced non-linear editing. Students will also gain an understanding of live/live-to-tape studio production workflows and responsible journalism practices. Students successfully completing the requirements of the Microcredential will be able to collaboratively produce news segments in the field and in the studio.
