VHALI is comprised of representatives from State and County Government, the VA Medical Center, Veterans Organization, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Providers, Universities, Hospitals, individual Veterans, and Civilians who all have a Personal Interest in Supporting Long Island Veterans.

SAR Flag's mission is to break the stigma of mental health, suicide, and seeking treatment within our warrior culture to facilitate suicide prevention. 

S:US works with communities and individuals in every corner of the city and on Long Island to make sure every New Yorker has the chance to find home.

The Nassau Vet Center offer's confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). We can also connect you with more support in VA and your community.

CEC is proud to provide Care with Excellence and Compassion to underrepresented populations, and we always strive to meet the unique healthcare needs of each person served, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those with serious mental health and substance use concerns.

VSA's mission is to be an advocate for veterans, their spouses and dependents with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, New York State, and Nassau County.

The Veterans Crisis Line is a great resource for Veteran's in crisis or concerned about one, the Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that connects you to a real person specially trained to support Veterans.

DVS provides free benefits advising. Experienced and dedicated advisors — each a Veteran — work in a network of field offices across the state and offer Veterans and their families with professional help to resolve social, medical, and economic matters.

The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) provides a variety of benefits and services to Service members, Veterans, and their families.

The United Veterans Beacon House is a great resource to help veterans regain their self-worth and empower them with the tools necessary to rejoin their communities as independent and productive citizens. The services consist of health care referrals, job training, and placement, and assistance with linkage to well-earned financial benefits.

U.S. Department of Labor carries out its mission through a number of offices and agencies. These are organized into major program areas, and headed by an Assistant Secretary or other official.

American Airpower Museum is the preservation of aviation, and military history to educate the public, and the next generation of Americans about the courage, valor, sacrifice, and heroism of our nation’s veterans, aviation pioneers, and aviation industry workers of the arsenal of democracy. 

The Pat Tillman Foundation identifies remarkable military service members, veterans and spouses, empowering them with academic scholarships, lifelong leadership development opportunities and a diverse, global community of high-performing mentors and peers.

The Long Island Air Force Association's mission is to promote a United States Air Force that is second to none and a strong national defense. We honor our Air Force heritage and accomplish our mission by: EDUCATING the public on the need for strong aerospace power and technically superior capability to ensure U.S. national security ADVOCATING aerospace power and STEM education SUPPORTING the total Air Force family and promoting aerospace education.

Advocate for Veterans mission statement  includes the following. We founded our company because we saw too many of our Seniors and fellow Veterans struggling with the complexity of both Medicare and VA benefits. We knew those who served our country deserved something better, so we built a company on that principle.

The Gilman Scholarship is a program of the United State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). ECA fosters mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries to promote friendly, sympathetic, and peaceful relations.

The New York SBDC Veterans Services and Assistance Program works to provide targeted training, counseling, and mentoring to help veterans start and grow a small business. SBDC Business Advisors help veteran small business owners improve profitability, expand market share, explore export opportunities, and provide valuable assistance in terms of establishing businesses on stronger organizational and financial footing.
