How do colleges and universities distinguish themselves today? By doing something more and doing some things better. And how does an institution or an academic department within an institution manage to do something more or do some things better? Usually through grants from government agencies, private foundations, and other third-party sources, because tuition dollars and State support to colleges can only go so far.
For assistance in identifying funding opportunities related to your professional interests and your areas of expertise, or for assistance in the preparation of a grant application, faculty are urged to contact the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Individuals and collaborative efforts, large grants or small, each is important and all are welcome.
