Pooja Aiyar'24 is a Finance major from Hicksville, New York.
Having transferred to SUNY Old Westbury from Stony Brook University, she earned her way on to the Dean's List each semester she attended the University. Along with being a stellar student who earned a 3.9 grade point average during her time on campus, Aiyar was an active participant in campus life.
She was elected by her peers to serve as vice president of the Business and Computer Club, and volunteered to serve as a student representative to the campus' as a member of the Green Committee.
She is a member of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society, recognizing academic excellence for transfer students, and was the only undergraduate student selected to present at the 2022 Eastern Economic Association Conference. She displayed her intellect and drive as a participant in SUNY Long Island's Pitch Fest. Off-campus, Aiyar volunteered at Nassau County Medical Center, while working 20 hours or more at her family’s business.
