Christopher Duffy is a dedicated educational leader with over 20 years of experience in special education and 7 years of experience as a Principal. As Principal of P177Q – The Robin Sue Ward School for Exceptional Children, he is committed to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments where all students are empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

 

Throughout his career, Mr. Duffy has focused on ensuring that students with disabilities are provided with the same enriching opportunities and experiences as all students, while fostering inclusive settings that promote dignity, independence, communication, and community engagement. He strongly believes in preparing students for success both inside and outside the classroom through meaningful instruction, vocational experiences, extracurricular activities, technology integration, work-based learning opportunities, and real-world experiences.

 

Known for his collaborative and hands-on leadership style, Mr. Duffy works closely with staff, families, and related service providers to build strong school communities centered on compassion, equity, and high expectations for all learners. He is passionate about developing innovative programs that strengthen communication skills, increase student independence, expand inclusive opportunities, and amplify student voice.

 

Under his leadership, P177Q continues to foster a culture where every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential while experiencing the same sense of belonging, opportunity, and school pride as any other student community.
