Set-Up Time: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM only!

Location: Clark Center Parking Lot

Tailgating Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Tailgate Host Information

  • Set-up entrance time will only be allowed between 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM, which will be strictly enforced by the University Police Department.  
  • Each Tailgate Host reservation will accommodate (1) 10’x10’ Tent and (1) Car.
  • No more than two reservations will be allowed per registrant.  
  • First-come, first-served: Parking spot locations will be assigned upon arrival unless otherwise advised by the office of Institutional Advancement.
  • Advance Reservations Only! Tailgate hosting spots will NOT be available for purchase on event day.  
  • A valid state driver’s license is required for vehicle access.  
  • A Homecoming admission wristband must be worn at all times!  
  • Tailgating ends at 6:00 PM and will be enforced by University Police.  

Tailgating Policy 

(Strictly enforced by University Police. Violations may result in removal or legal action.)

  1. Participation in Tailgate is included in the Homecoming registration fee. Wristbands are required for all attendees.  
  2. Comply with all federal, state, local, and University laws.  
  3. The University is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items or vehicles.
  4.  Alcohol is not permitted on campus outside of the designated University sponsored location (Alumni VIP Lounge).  
  5. Entry may be refused to anyone appearing intoxicated or under the influence.  
  6. No overnight camping is allowed.  
  7. No saving of spaces; first-come, first-served only.
  8. Obey all traffic laws and police directions. No driving or parking on sidewalks.
  9. Tailgating must stay within allotted spaces and cannot block traffic flow.
  10. Tents/canopies must be 10’x10’ or smaller per reservation. If you purchase two tailgate spots, the tents/canopies must be 10’x10’ for each spot. They cannot be combined for a larger tent (i.e.: 20’x10’ or larger). All tents/canopies must be properly secured, and cannot block fire lanes, walkways, or drive lanes.
  11. Only charcoal grills are allowed. No propane or open flames.
  12. Drugs and controlled substances are strictly prohibited.
  13. Dispose of all trash and grease properly—do not pour onto the ground or into drains.  
  14. No sales or commercial activity permitted.
  15. Be respectful of University property and fellow guests.
  16. Disruptive behavior (drunkenness, harassment, vandalism, etc.) will not be tolerated.
  17. The University is a smoke-free campus. Use designated smoking areas only.
