After six years of online meetings, chat rooms, and shared screens, academic deans from 12 comprehensive colleges across SUNY gathered on March 13, 2026 for their first-in person meeting since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The session resulted from the vision and planning of Fred Millan, interim dean of the SUNY Old Westbury School of Arts and Sciences.
Those in attendance gathered at SUNY Plaza in Albany, New York, share information and ideas and to hear from system leaders on topics including the 2026-2027 SUNY budget, the Academic Momentum Initiative and SUNY Leads.
