This collaborative program allows select high school graduates to enter SUNY Old Westbury’s BS/DPM Program as first-year students, where they can earn a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Biological Sciences and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree in only 7 years.

Students spend the first 3 years at SUNY Old Westbury working towards their undergraduate Biological Sciences degree. After meeting certain minimum requirements, they may then be granted acceptance into New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

 

Requirements

Students accepted into the program can be assured admission to New York College of Podiatric Medicine provided that they:

  • Maintain a minimum science gpa of a 3.20 at SUNY Old Westbury each semester, as well as an overall gpa of 3.20 each semester.
  • Earn adequate scores on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
  • Passing a personal interview by NYCPM admissions committee.
