Panther Recognized as National Leader in Women's Basketball

Ja'nya Flash '23 was recognized this spring as leader in rebounds per game among all women's basketball players competing in NCAA Division III during the 2021-2022 season.

A Psychology major from West Hempstead, New York, Flash averaged and 14.7 rebounds a game, along with 17.2 points per game.  Along with her NCAA-leading recognition, Flash was named First Team All-Conference by the Skyline Conference.  

About the SUNY Old Westbury Athletics Program 

Located in Old Westbury, New York, the athletics department of SUNY Old Westbury is a NCAA Division III member. The Panthers have 11 programs including men's teams for baseball, basketball, cross country, golf and soccer and women's teams for basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
