All NYS mandated workshops are also a new graduation requirement for all SUNY candidates

  • ChildAbusePrevention Workshop – Free through Office of Family and Child Services, will not appear on TEACH. A copy of the certificate of completion needs to be e-mailed to emailed to Vincent Juba. https://ocfs.ny.gov/main/cps/Mandated_Reporter_Training.asp
  • SAVE - School Violence Prevention Workshop - $25 through SCOPE, will appear on TEACH. A link for the course will be shared by my office when available. If you have questions you may contact:

  • DASA – Dignity for All Students Workshop – $62 through SUNY OW, announcements will go out each semester of when to register/pay, will not appear on TEACH. If you need it for a TA certification or something else prior to graduation, then you need to take it through a different provider. Through a different provider it will appear on TEACH. 

    The DASA Workshop can be taken at any provider on NYSED’s DASA Approved Providers List.
  • Autism Workshop – Training in the Needs of Children with Autism - SWD Certification Only - Credited to SPED majors enrolled in ED 4890 (undergraduate) and ED 7020 (graduate).
  • Fire & Arson Workshop - Free through SUNY OW the semester you student teach, announcements will go out each semester of when it will be offered, will not appear on TEACH. If you need it for a TA certification or something else prior to graduation, then you need to take it through a different provider.
