Blidi Stemn, associate professor and chair of the Childhood Education and Literacy Department within the School of Education, was among those researchers featured during the 56th Annual Liberian Studies Association Conference.
Stemn's paper and presentation focused on promoting equitable and inclusive math and science education for sustainable national development in Liberia, in support of the conference's focus on envisioning the future and the imperative of nurturing sustainable progress in the African nation.
Held at Morgan State University from April 24-26, 2025, the conference annually seeks to provide a platform for academics, civil society, and private sector stakeholders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and collaboratively design strategies and new perspectives for equity, inclusivity, gender, and development in Africa in general and specifically in Liberia.
The Liberian Studies Association is a non-profit, scholarly organization that provides a means for effective cooperation among persons interested in furthering research in all scholarly disciplines on topics relevant to the Republic of Liberia.
