Public Notice of CEPH Accreditation Visit and Call for Third-Party Comments

January 3, 2024 ... The SUNY Old Westbury Department of Public Health will host an accreditation visit by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) on April 8-9, 2024. The purpose of the visit is to seek continuing accreditation of the University’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health program. 

In accordance with CEPH accreditation procedures, interested parties may submit written comments concerning the program and its practices, procedures and policies. 

Written third party comments regarding the SUNY Old Westbury B.S. in Public Health program must be received by CEPH no later than March 8, 2024. CEPH requests that all submitted comments be in writing and contain specific observations. Written third-party comments will remain confidential and can be sent to CEPH via email to submissions@ceph.org

CEPH shares their-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program.  During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to CEPH's accreditation standards.
