Dozens of Long Island’s most influential leaders and nearly 400 of their supporters gathered on Thursday, June 29, to celebrate the 2023 Long Island Press Power List honorees at The Heritage Club in Bethpage, New York.
SUNY Old Westbury President Timothy E. Sams was among those named to the Power List, now in its 20th year of honoring the region’s most powerful people, from the policy shapers in the political arena who hold sway over local quality of life to the rainmakers in the business world that create jobs and wealth.
In the event program for the evening, President Sams was noted for his "commitment to educational justice through inclusive excellence and purpose-driven education."
The "Long Island Press Power List" is presented annually by the Long Island Press and Schneps Media, publishers of the Long Island Press, Dan’s Papers, Behind the Hedges, Noticia and other publications.
