Six SUNY Old Westbury Panther student-athletes earned recognition on The Skyline Conference All-Sportsmanship Team for fall 2022.

This conference recognition was extended to 75 student-athletes in total encompassing all 12 member institutions across the league's seven fall sports.

The six Panthers recognized are Heather Dillon (Women's Cross Country), Nick Dupkin (Men's Cross Country), Natalie Intrieri (Women's Soccer), Clarissa Olivero (Women's Volleyball), Ashel Santos (Men's Soccer) and Justin Staropoli (Men's Golf).

"It takes a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work to compete as an NCAA Division III athlete while pursuing one’s studies,” said Lenore Walsh, athletic director. “These students were selected by  their coaches because they excelled as teammates, working to achieve success on the field and off.”

In addition to being part of the Skyline Conference mission statement, the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement encourages "the development of sportsmanship and positive societal attitudes in all constituents, including student-athletes, coaches, administrative personnel and spectators."

The conference recognizes All-Sportsmanship Team members in all 19 of its championship sports, with each program announcing one recipient for his or her sportsmanlike demeanor – both in and out of competition.
