With snow still falling on campus and a significant clean up remaining for both our campus and the local community, the following updates to campus operations are being made in addition to previous announcements regarding the remote status in effect for today:
- All classes will be offered remotely on Tuesday, February 24.
- Any previously planned on-campus events and activities are canceled for Tuesday, February 24.
- Campus offices and services operating remotely on Monday, February 23 will continue to operate in a remote status on Tuesday, February 24. University offices and staff are prepared to serve our students and community in a remote status. - Campus Shuttle Bus operations: As previously announced, the Campus Shuttle is not running today and will not operate on Tuesday.
All members of our campus community are asked to monitor their campus email accounts throughout the pending storm should updates be required.
February 23, 2026 Classes and Operations Moved to Remote Status

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for Long Island with severe weather expected to occur starting Sunday and extending into the day on Monday.
Given current forecast estimates, the following changes to campus operations are being made:
- All classes will be offered remotely on Monday, February 23.
- Campus offices and services also will be conducted in a remote status on Monday. University offices and staff are prepared to serve our students and community in a remote status. If you require assistance or action, please contact the appropriate department or team member via phone or email
- Regarding Campus Shuttle Bus operations:
- On Sunday, February 22, the shuttle will run on its weekend schedule. However, given the expected weather conditions, the shuttle will likely experience delays due to road conditions and traffic.
- On Monday, February 23, the shuttle will not operate.
- Campus Dining operations and hours will change to:
- On Sunday, February 22, the Food Hall will remain open for its normal hours. Late Night service will be closed.
- On Monday, February 23:
- The Food Hall will be open for brunch: 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
- Boost Mobile will be open Monday for orders from the food hall only: 10:30 am - 6:30 pm
- All retail will be closed
- BYTE Program located in Woodlands Hall 1 is available 24/7
- Just Baked Vending Machine located in the Campus Center is available 24/7.
