A settlement has been reached to resolve the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) work stoppage.
Finals originally scheduled for in-person presentation today, Tuesday, May 19, that had been moved online by members of the faculty will remain in an online setting. For finals still planned for an in-class setting, those who rely on the LIRR should make alternate travel arrangements. The NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) bus provides service to campus. Carpooling is encouraged.
Students who have a final exam and are unable to get to campus should contact their professor to make alternate arrangements.
All non-essential employees continue to have the option of working remotely today if approved by your supervisor. Essential staff should report to work as directed. All staff are expected to report to work beginning Wednesday, May 20.
