SOB Overtally Registration Process and Procedures

Requesting an overtally into a closed course is an electronic process initiated by sending an email from the OW student portal (connect.oldwestbury.edu). 

  • A student seeking to register in a closed School of Business course must email, using the Old Westbury email account, Lorraine Todisco todiscol@oldwestbury.edu with a copy to Laura Gallagher, Administrative Assistant to the Dean
  • The subject line of the email message should read OVERTALLY.  The following information is required in the body of the message:
    • Term  
    • Student’s OW ID
    • Student’s Name
    • CRN       
    • Course

If the request is denied, the sponsoring department will notify the student via the student's Old Westbury email account only. 

If the request is approved, the Assistant Dean will notify the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar will notify the student via campus email when the overtally is processed. Overtallies are not official until processed by the Office of the Registrar.

Note: The last day to add a new class is the end of the add/drop period.
