Dear Parent,
Thank you for choosing SUNY Old Westbury as the institution to help prepare your students for the future they want for themselves. When a student moves into their campus residence, it is among the most lasting memories they and you have as they continue to move from childhood to adulthood. I know that experience may have been dampened by the power disruptions that affected our campus on Saturday and that occurred again this morning.
Both our Maintenance and Facilities team and professionals from PSEG-LI have been on-site working to identify and resolve this situation. In the interim, our Residence Life, Student Affairs, a Dining Services units are working hand-in-hand to make sure your students have an enjoyable, entertaining, and safe entry to the Fall 2021 semester. The next step in that process occurs today, as our entire campus community joins together for SUNY Old Westbury's "Marvelous Monday" celebration.
