About the Required Practicum:

A supervised Practicum/Student Teaching is the required capstone course for the degree. The practicum/student Teaching provides the candidates with an opportunity to work with and/or teach childhood learners with disabilities in a school setting under the direction of a cooperating teacher and a SUNY Old Westbury supervisor.
