RE: Administrative Changes in Enrollment, Human Resources & Student Affairs
SUNY Old Westbury in the next few weeks will experience several changes among the senior leaders of the campus as searches for roles related to enrollment, student affairs and human resources move towards completion. At the same time, the three professionals who have contributed so much to our campus in these areas during their temporary stays with us are set to leave campus in the coming days:
- Gail DiSabatino will complete her service as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs today, January 20. Pending the completion of the search for our new VP for Student Affairs, Cristine Tesoriero, known well for her leadership of the Student Health Center, will serve as the Interim Vice President for Student Affairs.
- Jeffrey Handler will complete his tenure as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Services on January 31, 2023. Pending the completion of the search for our new VP for Enrollment Management and Marketing, Frank Pizzardi, currently director of admissions, will serve as the Interim Vice President for Enrollment Services.
- David Tomanio will complete his work as Interim Director of Human Resources on January 31, 2023. Pending the completion of the search for our new Executive Director of Human Resources, Rebecca West will serve as interim Director of Human Resources.
Gail, Jeff and Dave have made immense contributions in their short times on campus, helping me early in my tenure as president to gain a better understanding of how these functions can work best for our campus, where areas for improvement lie, and what it may take to move us forward in each division. I am immensely grateful for their efforts and thank them for being a part of "team Old Westbury."
I also want to thank those mentioned here who are stepping in to provide leadership during the transition to the new leaders we expect to bring on soon. Your commitment to our campus and our students is greatly appreciated.
