“A Conversation with Dr. Ruth Simmons” is planned to be an intimate evening where SUNY Old Westbury President Timothy E. Sams will discuss with the University's 2024 Commencement Speaker aspects related to her extraordinary life and career.
- 6:00 p.m. Reception in the Amelie A. Wallace Art Gallery
- 7:00 p.m.: A Conversation with Dr. Ruth Simmons hosted by Dr. Timothy E. Sams in the Duane L. Jones Recital Hall
The first 50 people to arrive for the evening will receive a signed copy of "Up Home: One Girl’s Journey," a recent biography written by Dr. Simmons.
