Scholarships

Students of SUNY Old Westbury benefit from scholarships made available from the campus and a variety of philanthropic organizations.  To be considered for a scholarship, please complete the University Scholarship Application. 

University Scholarship Application

Not all students will qualify nor meet the requirements for the scholarships. 

The list of current scholarships available is:

  • Aramco Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. This scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.  New or continuing student. Applicants requirements  female of Middle Eastern Descent. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • CMP Awards Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. This scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale.  Scholarship is for African American or Hispanic Students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Gerald Garner Wright, Esq Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale. To all new and continuing students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Anna Rosenberg Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. First year sophomore or higher with a minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Preference is given to females. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • J. Pettigrew Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. Applicants must have a minimum 2.3 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applicants can be new or continuing students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Joyce Harriet Stahl Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time or part time students . GPA of 2.75  or higher on a 4.0 scale, continuing student, single parent with combined income of $75,000.00 or less. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Kearse Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students with a GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale. For all continuing students.
  • Herbert L. Frink Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. This scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for continuing students in Media and Communications Major. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Old Westbury Foundation Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time continuing students.  Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale or higher. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Panther Pride Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students with a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or better. To new or continuing students. Total of (4) scholarships each $1,000.00. One scholarship per school.
  • SGA Engagement Award -This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and be a continuing student. Two students will be awarded of $1,300.00 each. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • TFCU/Nicholas Maletta Memorial Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time  new High School students. Applicant must have a (HS GPA 85). Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • William & Mary Olsten Scholarship - This non-renewable scholarship is for full time students. Applicants must be full time with a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher. Scholarship is for all new and continuing students.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Outside (Non-Old Westbury) Scholarships:

  • THE IBBTA Foundation Scholarship Program- This outside agency awards scholarships to students who have completed at least 24 credits of undergraduate coursework in Public Policy or Administration, All Business related majors and all transportation related majors and Information Technology.   • SUNY/ Office of Mental Health Scholarship Pipeline Program- This SUNY scholarship awards scholarship(s) to students majoring in a Mental Health discipline leading to a career as a mental health professional.   • HESC Masters in Education Teacher Incentive Scholarship Program - Eligible SUNY/CUNY full time students may receive an award of $5,655 per semester to use for a master’s degree in education. Requirements include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, an undergraduate degree from a NYS college, and agree to teach in NYS for five years. Application deadline: May 16, 2025. Learn more at HESC.
  • Hispanic Federation Scholarship - CREAR Futuros participants are qualified to apply for this $2,000 Education Scholarship. Applicants must be a mentee/mentor or alum of CREAR Futuros in college or graduate school, with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. Application deadline: May 19, 2025, no exceptions.
