SUNY Old Westbury marks "Pi Day" with a special program exploring the experiences and celebrating the role of women in the field of mathematics.
This event is a collaborative one developed by the campus' Association for Women in Math , Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program, and Women in Science and Engineering groups.
Panelists for the program include:
- Dr. Shahedipour-Sandvik, Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, SUNY System Administration
- Professor Lihle Brightness Madondo, Senior Education Specialist, Department of Education, South Africa
- Fatima Bhali, Biological Sciences/Politics, Economic & Law double major, SUNY Old Westbury
- Dominique Crecco, Special Education Childhood major (Mathematics concentration), SUNY Old Westbury
Professor Madondo will be participating via Zoom.
All in the campus community are welcome to attend!
