February 1, 2021 - Announcement from WIlliam Kimmins, assistant to the president for administration

The New York State Governor's Office for Employee Relations has issued the following notice regarding the ongoing winter storm:

Due to the winter storm, state offices in NYC (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond counties), Albany, Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Nassau, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Schuyler, Seneca, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Washington, Westchester and Yates counties are closed today, February 1, 2021, effectively immediately, and a directed early departure is issued for non-essential employees. Non-essential employees do not have to charge accruals but agencies should redeploy staff to telecommuting to the extent possible.
