The Faculty Senate is the representative body of the SUNY Old Westbury faculty and is composed of some 40 members representing the Schools and Academic Departments within the University, the professional employees of the institution. The Senate exercises faculty responsibilities for governance. Under its by-laws, the Senate has the right and duty to initiate recommendations and to speak for the Faculty in all areas of campus activity.
