System Requirements for Online Classes
In order to take an online course at Old Westbury, students must have access to an Internet capable computer and browser compatible with the College's Blackboard Learning Management System, an Internet connection, and an email address. All students automatically get an Old Westbury email address upon enrollment that can be used, and prospective online students can check for the compatibility of their system, download a compatible browser if needed, and get information about browser settings by visiting the Open SUNY Online Course Browser Compatibility website.
State Residency Requirements for Online Classes
Due to state regulations concerning online education, students can only enroll in online classes offered by Old Westbury if they reside in New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Indiana, Michigan, Montana, South Dakota, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
