You can choose to take classes online, on campus or both.

The M.S. in Accounting degree program's objective goes beyond technical training in accounting practices. The Old Westbury faculty encourages students to integrate technical knowledge with ethical judgment and with the ability to communicate with others for the betterment of their organizations and themselves.

The program pairs classroom instruction with hands-on analysis of cases to teach you the skills you'll need in the accounting profession.

Preparation to identify fraud when it occurs, and to inform decision-making processes and develop procedures to protect against it.

This 30-credit program is for students seeking a career in this fast-growing arena as a forensic accountant or fraud examiner. Offered over a three-semester arc in one calendar year, it enables students to meet the 150-credit hour requirement to qualify for CPA licensure in New York State and provides students with a foundation for the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) exam.

Forensic Accounting students also have the opportunity for real-world engagement with fraud investigations through the University's cutting-edge Justice for Fraud Victims Project or via the IRS Adrian Project, which simulates investigations through to arrest.
