Advising
Every student is assigned an academic advisor or faculty advisor who is part of their OW Success Team.
Registration
Current and/or recently enrolled SUNY Old Westbury Students can register using their ConnectOW portal.
Login to the Connect OW portal. Click the “Banner SSB Registration - Add/Drop Classes” button and then use the buttons and tools on the Registration page to enroll in the classes you want to take.
benefit certification
New Students- Once you are advised and have registered for courses, please submit the following documentation: Copy of your DD214 , your Certificate of Eligibility, NOBE or approval letter from the VA to the VA Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar at owregistrar@oldwestbury.edu
Each semester you will need to verify that you will be using your benefits to begin the 2-part certification with the VA. After you have completed your registration, email the VA Coordinator stating how many credits you are registered for and that you will be using your benefits. Prior use of benefits will not guarantee certification each term.

The SUNY Financial Aid Plan (FAP) will provide a more in-depth analysis and accurate picture of student cost once the student has filed their FAFSA, completed a SUNY application, and has been accepted by a campus.
