SUNY Old Westbury hosts an annual Student Research Day each spring. Through oral, poster, media and art presentations or exhibits, students showcase the results of their research and creativity. These academic and artistic achievements represent the effort of in-class assignments and out-of-class experiences conducted with faculty. More than 100 students participate in Student Research Day each year.  Research Day is sponsored by the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education and the School of Business.

Students are encouraged to present their original research, art, and other media presentations. All students are welcome, but they must have a faculty sponsor.  In support of SUNY's "64 Actions on 64 Campuses", Old Westbury students will be encourage to present on the persistence of systemic racism, anti-racism, and social justice.

The 2024 SUNY OldWestbury Student Research Day will be held on Tuesday, April 16th.

This annual event celebrates students’ academic and creative accomplishments and provides students the opportunity to share their work with the campus community. To participate, students must be sponsored by a faculty member, and all abstracts must be faculty-approved before submission.
