Attendance at both parts of orientation is required for all new transfer students, as they transition into their first semester of the Old Westbury community.
Summer 2024 Transfer Orientation
Part 1: In-Person Orientation Program
Emails are sent out weekly, to newly accepted transfer students with registration instructions. We use the email you put on your admissions application as well as your campus email.

June 13, 2024: In-Person Session: 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

July 12, 2024: In-Person Session: 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

August 1, 2024: In-Person Session: 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

August 12, 2024: Virtual Session: 6:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. *Sign ups for this session will not launch until approximately July 17.
Part 2: Advisement (approximately 30-45 mins.)
Advisement corresponds with the session you select and will be provided ahead to students registered for an orientation session. Advisement is based upon appointment availability set by faculty within each department. Instructions for advisement will be sent separately, to your campus email, after you have been confirmed for orientation. Please note that students who miss their orientation session without contacting the department to reschedule within 24-hours of their assigned session, will be de-registered from their courses.
Please note that ALL TRANSFERS MUST PAY THEIR TUITION DEPOSIT IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ORIENTATION ADVISEMENT! While we communicate initially with your personal email address, all orientation confirmations and advising instructions are sent to your Old Westbury email address. In addition, a $100 orientation fee will be added to your account.
