Please note: School of Business students will be required to attend 1 of 5 career-related events that are offered each semester in order to attend the Accounting Networking Reception (in the fall) and/or the Business Networking Reception (in the spring)—the major career-related events sponsored by the School of Business that provide students an opportunity to meet company representatives face-to-face to discuss job, internship and career possibilities. They may choose from: Resume Writing Workshops; Interviewing Workshops; Networking Workshops; Presentation Skills Workshops and InterviewStream Workshops. Once students have attended 1 workshop, they will have satisfied the requirement to be eligible to go to either or both Networking Receptions and they will not have to attend these career-related events again in future semesters unless they want to. Prior registration and sign-in will be required for all events, which will be used to determine a student’s eligibility to attend the Networking Receptions. If a student has already attended 1 of these events prior to Fall 2019, the student should inform Lorraine Todisco in person in NAB Room 1065 or via email at TodiscoL [at] oldwestbury.edu and she will check her attendance records to confirm the student’s past participation.
