SUNY Old Westbury celebrated its transfer students at an afternoon reception on November 1, 2017. Joined by faculty and staff from the campus community, almost 150 transfer students received lunch and a special gift of appreciation.
The College saw an entering transfer class of more than 900 students in Fall 2017 - combined with the incoming first-year students this accounted for the largest group of new students in SUNY Old Westbury history. The festive atmosphere of the reception included music, photos and conversation. Students had the opportunity to meet and discuss their goals and plans with deans, faculty, student affairs, and support offices.
