Starting life at SUNY College at Old Westbury is exciting but it can also be overwhelming, both for new students and for their families. That's why we developed our Orientation programs targeted to the needs of new freshman and transfer students. Our goal is to help incoming students make the most of their college experience and facilitate a successful transition into the academic and social life of Old Westbury.
During Orientation, students are challenged and encouraged to take their first steps toward deep and meaningful academic and social engagement. These programs involve a combination of experiences that include meeting and working with faculty, staff and student leaders while gaining an introduction to academic coursework and co-curricular involvement and leadership.

**In the event of inclement weather, please take note that IF classes are canceled on the date of your scheduled orientation, our program will also be canceled.**
