How To Connect To Wireless Network (Windows 7) Students

  1. Right Click computer icon in the task bar

  1. Click “Open Network and Sharing Center”

  1. Click on “Set up a new connection or network”

 

 

 

  1. Choose Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next


 

  1. Enter in the following information:

    1. OW_Student ← THIS IS CASE SENSITIVE TYPE EXACTLY

    2. Choose WPA2-Enterprise

    3. Check this box if it doesn’t automatically

    4. Click Next

 

6. Click “Change connection settings”


7.  Choose the “Security” tab

 

  1. Click “Settings”

    1. Make sure the box is NOT checked

    2. Click “Configure”

       

  2. Make sure the box is NOT checked, then click “OK”


 

  1. Click “OK”

     

  2. Click “Advanced Settings”

    1. Check this box

    2. From the dropdown menu choose “User Authentication”

    3. Click “Save credentials”

       

 

  1.  

    1. Enter your Old Westbury Username (Panther ID)

      1. Same one you use to login to Blackboard, Email, or the computers on campus

    2. Enter your password

       

  2. Click “OK” on every screen until you’re back to this screen, then click “Close”

  3. OW_Student will now automatically connect, and if it does not, connect to it.
