Summer Polo Match & Lawn Party

A summer afternoon of championship polo provides the setting each year as the Old Westbury College Foundation, Inc. welcomes guests to pristine Hickox Field in Old Westbury, New York, in support of SUNY College at Old Westbury. Nearly 800 guests enjoyed the 2012 event as the College and College Foundation honored local civic leaders and stellar alumni, all while raising critical funds to support the campus.

A Taste of Long Island

Delicious food, fine wine and sold out dining rooms are the traditional ingredients in the recipe for success that has become “A Taste of Long Island,” the annual benefit dinner to support SUNY College at Old Westbury. In all, approximately more than $800,000 has been raised during this gala dinner since the first “Taste” was held in 2001.   Unrestricted funds raised via “Taste” have been used to fund merit scholarships for students transferring to the College and for the College’s Presidential Faculty Development Grant program.

International Partnership Awards

Since the inital event in 1993, SUNY College at Old Westbury has endeavored to honor those businesses that have succeeded in developing strong international trade programs and to enhance opportunities for new businesses to cultivate relationships with potential export partners through its International Partnership Awards Luncheon. At the same time, it raises funds to ensure that Old Westbury’s students have the best educational experience possible – both on campus and through international study. Developed under the leadership of the College’s Long Island International Partnership Committee the International Partnership Awards since its founding have provided scholarships for nearly 150 students of SUNY College at Old Westbury to study abroad in China, England, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, South Korea, and Spain.
