The Facilities office is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, and can be reached at (516) 876-3302.

If you have an emergency outside of the office hours, please call University Police at (516) 876-3333.

The bulk of the operations of the Maintenance and Facilities Department is located within the Service Buildings on C-Gate Road, just north of the Long Island Expressway. The department also operates the campus Heat Plant, which is located on Ring Road.

Submitting a Work Order

All Faculty and Staff should use the Quecentre online work order system for any non-emergency issues.

Facilities reviews each work order and schedules repair work based on priorities and the current amount of work volume.

SUNY Old Westbury in 2023 was named a NYSERDA Clean Green Campus ACHIEVER.

NYSERDA’s Clean Green Campuses initiative is a membership network of two- and four-year, public and private colleges and universities in New York State exploring ways to lower carbon emissions and contribute to a just energy transition on their campuses and surrounding communities. Clean Green Campuses connects its member institutions to exclusive funding opportunities and advisory services, as well as peer-to-peer knowledge sharing opportunities.

As an ACHIEVER campus, SUNY Old Westbury was recognized for its formal commitment to carbon reduction and for having completed some clean energy projects. These institutions also have dedicated staff to focus on clean energy investments and achieving institutional carbon reduction goals.
