Media & Comm Students Get Close to 'Real and Powerful' Journalists at Nationally Recognized Conference

Networking with and learning from leading journalists was the order of the day for those Media & Communications students who attended The News Conference: Real and Powerful, an annual event of the Fair Media Council that brings the news media together with the public for a day of open dialogue, mutual understanding and relationship building.

American Studies Professor Publishes Biography on Internationally-Recognized Photographer

Dr. Carol Quirke's book on the famous political and social photography of the 20th century, Dorothea Lange, is now available. Lange is known for her work documenting persistent injustices such as poverty, labor exploitation, racism, and environmental degradation.
