Message from the Vice President

Thank you for your interest in Old Westbury. High quality education, a beautiful campus and sense of community make SUNY Old Westbury a dynamic place to learn and grow. As you surf through our website, you will quickly find that Old Westbury is a place where learning and leadership are woven into the very fabric of our academic, social and athletic offerings.

Whether the involvement of our students occurs in class, on internships, or on the field of competition, the goal of Old Westbury is to help its students become leaders at work, in the community, and in life. And, with more than 45 undergraduate majors and programs from which to choose within our liberal arts, business, science and education programs, competition for admission is growing intense!

Old Westbury is an active place and seeks to earn a reputation among the finest small liberal arts colleges in our state and nation. Along with our high-quality liberal arts and professional programs, our campus life features more than 50 student clubs and organizations serving virtually every interest. And, for the student-athlete, Old Westbury fields 13 Division III athletic teams.

On this website, you will find our On-Line Tour and Academic Department pages that will allow you to explore Old Westbury beyond the description I have provided. I hope you will visit our campus in person. Here on a sequestered 604-acre campus just 20 miles from the heart of New York City, you can own your future while enjoying a community pulsating with life, learning, and achievement.
