The Writing Center provides free writing assistance and free non-credit writing workshops for Old Westbury students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Advanced apppointments are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome and will be accommodated whenever a consultant is available.
Spring 2021 Distance Tutoring
The Writing Center will be open in the spring semester for distance tutoring through our online schedule. You can make an appointment here.
For the Spring 2021 semester, the Writing Center hours are:

The Writing Center is closed during the summer and winter sessions. The Writing Center is also closed on days when classes are not in session, including school holidays, school breaks, and closings due to inclement weather.
Visit the Writing Center for help brainstorming or organizing your ideas or for feedback on a draft. We can help with understanding your assignment, developing a thesis, organizing your essay, using and analyzing sources, citation questions and more. We look forward to working with you!
