Ethernet Set Up For Windows 95/98

• Click on Start, then Settings, and then Control Panels.
• Double-click on the Network icon. Make sure that you see the following components installed:
  • Network Card Drivers
  • TCP/IP protocol
  • Client for Microsoft Networks
• If you do not see the TCP/IP protocol:
  • Click the Add button
  • Highlight Protocol and click the Add button
  • Select Microsoft under manufacturers and TCP/IP under network protocols
  • Click the OK button
• While still in the Network window under Configuration, you should configure TCP/IP:
• Highlight TCP/IP and click the Properties button. Select IP Address
• If not already set as the default, select the "Obtain an IP Address Automatically" button
• Click the OK button on the Network window. Now you have network properties that have the following components!
• When prompted, click Yes to re-start your computer.
